As the North Node moves into Aries,  we’ll be leaning into more of what makes us who we are, meaning we’ll be discovering more of our own spirit, and feeling compelled to move towards a fresh iteration of self-hood.

Relationships will change.

As we approach this shift, relational astrology has been on my mind.

Often, when we see another’s birth chart, we see things we believe don’t “vibe” with who we think we are.  There can be a tendency to hone in on that quality we don’t like.  We hope to “change” it, to tweak it, to make it easier for ourselves to navigate.

While I love and live by the essence of change, I find change to be a dangerous word when talking about the qualities of the people in our lives. 

A birth chart represents a person’s essence.

To change another’s essence would be likened to entrapment; To the syphoning of their life-force; To the idea that there is a certain way someone needs to be to be loved; That they need to be “fixed”;  That the essence of who they are isn’t good enough because it isn’t convenient.  

A Scorpio Venus can’t just become a Sagittarius Venus because we would rather have grand adventures than be in the depths of intimacy.

A Taurus Venus can’t move at a faster romantic pace just because a Leo Venus wants to board the love rocket and never look back.

A Gemini Venus can communicate with a Cancer Venus when they feel they can’t be connected in a consistent way, but they still need freedom to experience their ebbs and flows.  

If one is forced to maintain the desires of another, over time, they will feel drained, and not authentic to their true nature. 

The work of being with the qualities of others that you find “rubbing” is your own.  We can find ways to uplift people into being more of who they are, while also acknowledging that it’s a challenge for us to navigate.

As the North Node moves into Aries, we want freedom to express, freedom to be authentic,  freedom to remember our true nature.
