Have you ever seen a symbol out in the world that draws you in, speaks to you somewhere deep in your being, becomes your own through the process of being-with? 

The first symbol I ever felt connected to was the Triskele.  As a teen, I encountered it over and over again during my studies in North-Eastern France.  I didn’t know what it meant at first, only that I recognized it.  It hypnotized me- belonged with me in some way.

In my Planetary Signatures Meditation, we will create such symbols for ourselves.  Often, what we create doesn’t make sense at first- That’s the point.

Intuitive art isn’t about having a clear plan, or a design to carefully execute.  In fact, it’s best to go into it with no plan at all.  In this method of art-making, creating is about ALLOWING something to flow through you without needing to give it a story or know what it means in that moment.

When we create symbols, we tap into the land beyond language.  Some call this land the subconscious, the higher-self, the soul.  Messages arrive from this place like a flower unfurling in the moonlight, petal by petal.

As we bring this symbol to the threshold of our consciousness, it awakens.  It begins to speak as we give our attention to what previously had no form.  We ponder it’s meaning as our industrious minds seek to form connections.  The symbol begins to “work” us.  Through the simple practice of being with it, our soul begins to synthesize a message.
